Moco Schiller, (founder and creative director) and Sharlene Durfey, (experience designer and curator) introduce a new and exciting project on the horizon – a traveling immersive fungi wonderland, the Museum of Mushrooms, with plans to launch in Berlin at the end of 2027.
We are creating an extraordinary exhibition to inspire and inform visitors with active storytelling through live guides, memorable collaborative installations, VR, light- and-soundscapes, with science embedded throughout over a 1500m2 space – designed to engage all of your senses, creating awe and wonder.
Human-Centered Climate Innovation: Co-Creating Pathways for Decarbonization How can we accelerate decarbonization by combining technological innovation with social and systemic change? This interactive breakout session brings together founders, researchers, policymakers, and ecosystem builders to explore human-centered approaches to climate innovation. The session starts with a short input drawing from Bengisu Berispek's research on urban decarbonization and six years of experience implementing climate strategies in the public sector. Participants will then engage in a facilitated co-creation exercise to identify key transformation challenges and collaboratively develop ideas for climate solutions. The goal is to spark interdisciplinary exchange and uncover new opportunities for collaboration across research, startups, and policy to accelerate the transition toward climate-neutral cities.
Sharlene is an artist, connector, and experience architect whose work lives at the intersection of sensation, nature, and human meaning. Her practice is built on a single belief: that a single encounter, when designed with intention, can quietly shift the way a person sees the world.
For over two years, her event series Beyond the Surface and her Intimacy Cards have brought people together across festivals and workshops — creating the conditions for genuine human connection in a world that often discourages it. The through line in every project is the same insight that fungi have been demonstrating underground for half a billion years: we are not meant to be alone, and our most important relationships are symbiotic.
That conviction is now taking its most ambitious form. In 2027, Sharlene is a part of a team that will launch the Museum of Mushrooms — a fully immersive, interactive, traveling exhibition debuting in Berlin — designed to engage every sense, expand every mind, and permanently change how visitors relate to the natural world and to each other.
