Join us for a special Thursday Gathering as CIC Berlin and Venture Café Berlin celebrate their 2nd anniversaries together! 🎉 We’ll mark two years of building community, connecting people, and creating space for ideas to grow — with plenty of opportunities to meet, celebrate, and connect.
This evening will also welcome a delegation of Chilean science-based startups joining us through The Ganesha Lab’s Go Europe Connect 2026. Meet the founders, discover the technologies they’re developing, and connect with a new group of deep-tech innovators exploring opportunities in Europe.

Some work is ready long before it has a place to be seen. LATICE creates those places - where an artist's work can find an audience, enter new conversations and keep moving forward. Tonight, together with CIC, we're opening a third space with a Latin American heart: art, music and community sharing one place, with no single right way to be here. For an artist, showing the work is only the beginning. What can change what comes next is someone remembering it, talking about it, passing it on, or opening a door later.
LATICE is built by the people who arrive and the people who stay - people who once needed a place, and who, over time, help make one for someone else.
Look. Listen. Talk. Meet someone. Stay a while. Or simply be.
At your own pace. Nothing to prove. Nothing owed.
ONE NIGHT
Art brings us together.
October 8, 2026.
Community makes sure no one has to start alone.
Unwind, connect, and vibe to the rhythm! This lively session blends casual networking with great music, offering the perfect atmosphere to meet fellow innovators, exchange ideas, and forge new collaborations. Enjoy the beats, and build meaningful connections in a relaxed, energetic setting.
For the anniversary, we're bringing food.
This time: tacos. Available for purchase.
You might have seen them around Berlin this summer — we first served them at one of our pop-ups in Mitte, and after a lot of tacos, a lot of people and a little internet love, we thought they deserved OTRA round.
We'll be serving two options:
BEEF
slow-cooked beef, cheese, onion & coriander
VERDE
seitan, tomatillo, pico de gallo
Consomé
vegan & meat
But tacos are only one of the things we do.
OTRA is a Berlin food & events project.
Pop-ups, private dinners, big gatherings, small tables and whatever comes next.
We cook for people.
Sometimes 10. Sometimes 500.
Come hungry. Come say hi.

What does it take to turn biotech innovation into real industry collaboration? This panel brings together biotech startups, corporates and ecosystem leaders to explore how startups and established industry players can work together across borders — from validation and market entry to pilots, investment and licensing.
Go Europe Connect 2026 is an Investor readiness program with focus on internationalization, organized by The Ganesha Lab that helps Latin American science-based startups prepare for the European market.
After the online training and mentoring phase, the cohort will travel to Germany for a two-week immersion in Berlin and Munich. During their time in Germany, the founders will meet with investors, industry leaders and other members of the local ecosystem, while exploring opportunities for their companies in Europe.
As part of the Berlin program, The Ganesha Lab and CIC will organize activities over several days.
On October 8th, Venture Café Berlin will host an afternoon Demo Day where the startups will pitch and showcase their work through demo tables, followed by networking with the local community.
The Berlin visit is an opportunity to meet the founders, learn about the technologies they are developing and connect with a new group of deep-tech companies coming from Latin America.

AI can now pass the hardest exams in seconds, and most of what we hear about it comes from the companies selling it. So what is education for, which skills will still matter, and how should young people plan their careers? Boris Walbaum, founder of Forward College and author of Excellence Isn't What You Think: Education and Parenting in the Age of AI, opens with a short talk. Then Forward student and AI policy researcher Matteo Mio interviews him. It's an open conversation: questions from the audience are welcome throughout.
Everyone who checks in at the event will automatically be entered into our birthday lottery. A few lucky guests will win a little souvenir to take home and remember the celebration! 🎉
